It's been awhile since my last blog so there is a good possibility that this could take awhile.
First off this whole health care issue. Great, you liberal hypocrites got what you wanted by creating thousands of IRS jobs for collecting the excess taxes that your beloved president promised would never go up. Don't believe in big gov't huh? Where are the millions of other jobs you promised. I better not here someone say, "How could you expect him to do all of this in his first year in office. Because he PROMISED he would do this in his first year.
I got a message from a person saying that everything about our country is socialistic. Schools, roads, libraries, and others things along those lines are paid for by public money which makes us socialist society already. No it doesn't because EVERYONE pays taxes for these things. If people quit paying taxes for these things, the roads would go to hell, there would be no libraries, teachers wouldn't get paid and schools would no longer exist. If the gov't came out tomorrow and said, anyone that earns more than $250,000 will have to pay higher taxes to help fund these amenities, but people that earn under $250,000 wouldn't, then that would be socialist.
The same person also said they don't have a problem paying higher taxes to help fund this bill if it came down to it. Ok thats fine. I think that people should be able to choose if they want to pay higher taxes for this health care. If this was a choice, how many of the supporters of this plan actually would voluntarily pay higher taxes? Very few I think.
One thing that bugs me the most, people that are against the war but aren't directly affected by it it the means of having a son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, cousin or even maybe a grandfather or grandmother and then say they say, support our troops, bring them home. I'm here to tell these people one thing, FUCK OFF!!!!
I'm sick and tired of you people claiming to talk for the troops and their families by being against these wars. You have no idea what you are talking about. I'll be generous and say that 5% of military people are against the wars. When I was going through my training, I met several hundred people that all joined for many reasons but the main one. PATRIOTISM!!! After 9/11, enlistments rose dramatically because of people wanting to join to help fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because they think it's the right thing to do. If these people that are like me believe that these wars are in the right, the why must the public who isn't over there dying and getting maimed and severely injured keep insisting that they know whats best for the soldiers?
There is alot more in this head of mine but it's late and I am tired so until tomorrow.

Hey there Cousin, good to see you're trying to address something I said. :-) I thought you just deleted the post off your Facebook wall.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to read up on socialism. There is nothing in socialism that specifies that only people above a certain income pay for everything. They do generally end up paying more taxes, etc, because of course someone who makes $100,000 a year is going to pay more in taxes than someone who makes $20,000. Taxes from everyone will go toward health care, it's not just people who make over $250,000 a year.
Public schools and all that *are* a form of socialism. It's right there in the name, *public.* If they weren't public, they would be private, and that would mean they are not owned by everyone, therefor not be socialist. So if you want to stay out of socialism entirely, we need to move to all private schools, private police force, etc.
I just wish the public schools here would get more funding instead of it going to the school boards people's pockets. It is truly sad that as a parent here in Alabama we have to buy certain supplies that are provided for in other states, like cleaning products and paper for the teacher to use to print out stuff on. I won't rage about it too much more because personally I just hate the school system here. The kids have to wear uniforms, this last school clothes and supply shopping I did I spent over $300 on to make sure he had specific school shoes, pants, shirts, belt, socks and so on. It is ridiculous. Anyhoo, on that note, later.
